Similes and Metaphors
Students wrote about this topic in their journal for 5 minutes:
Explain what one of your parents, guardians, or friends are like by comparing them to an animal. How are they like this animal? What qualities do they share?
After writing, students shared their responses.
Students viewed the video listed below taking notes as well as identifying the similes and metaphors in the lyrics. They used a T-chart to complete this assignment.
