Making Inferences

Students observed the first photo with the teacher and documented on the page below what they saw and what they inferred.  After a class discussion to understand what the difference was, they did the same thing on their own with the second picture.

After discussing the second picture, students turned into their literature books to p. 854 to read part of that passage and to complete the back of the page (below).  Their instructions were to find 3 sentences, write each sentence in a box, and then make an inference about the sentence.
